We recommend you to starts with the walk of the historical walls of Derry as a first visit of the city. A walk around the walls in Londonderry reveals a splendid city crammed full of history, heritage, interest and a vibrant cultural scene. The Walls, which are approximately 1.5km in circumference, form a walkway around the inner city and provide a unique promenade to view the layout of the original town which still preserves its Renaissance Style street plan to this day.
In the afternoon, get yourself to St Columb’s Cathedral and enjoy a guided tour. This Cathedral is the City of Londonderry's oldest building and having been completed in 1633. St columb's is the first Cathedral in the British 'Isles to have been built after the Reformation and is a fine example of 'Planter's Gothic".
